Map/maf sensor

Hi guys I just installed a universal spectrum short ram and my check engine light is on because I did not plug in my map/maf sensor.. so Im just wondering if i can run my car without it and is there a maf sensor extension I can buy because the closest insert I can use is way too far from the maf cable

There is no MAF sensor in the 7th gen. If you installed an SRI, you shouldn't have had to touch the MAP sensor, since it's attached to the intake manifold.

If you did, in fact, unplug the map sensor and forget it, plug it back in, clear the code, and see if it comes back

Would it be a big problem if I don't plug the air temp sensor?? Is it safe to drive my car without it?

yes it would be a problem.....all sensors are there for specific reasons

plug it back in....if you need to drill a hole in your new intake to mount the sensor then do it

It is important, but not drastically necessary...I just left mine plugged in and zip tied to a bracket until I finally took the intake apart and made a hole for it.

I ended up drilling a hole into my intake for my air temp sensor but my check engine light is still on what should I do?

the light is on because you had the sensor unplugged....

disconnect your battery for 10 mins.....reconnect and start engine.....the light should be off

I have a 2004 Honda Accord 2.4L I want to install an cold air intake but I don't see a MAF sensor but I do have a MAP sensor. So I wanna know if my car have a MAF sensor? Cause I search but can't find anything

You just replied to a 7+ year old thread on a Civic forum with a question about your Accord....

To answer your question, no it doesn't have a MAF, just a MAP.
