I have looked around and cant seem to find anything reguarding this issue. By all means if it exsists, please inform me as to where

Okay.

01 Civic Ex.

Check engine light came on. Everything seemed well enough though. Until the car stopped letting me go over 4k rpm. When 4k is hit, the car "stutters". The acceleration, that is, and its doenst get anywhere above 4.1k or 4.2k rpm.

Took it to check the codes, it says tps and a vtech code. I'm thinking the vtech code has something to do with a short circuit somewhere, because my dash lighting is really goofy. Sometimes it will all work, sometimes only half of it. Speedometer goes crazy too.

Now the tps issue...I dont even know where to start. I dont remember the exact code, I'm actually about to go back to autozone and get them both again.

I was told by the guy there though, that it could be the tps, the tb itself, or the acc sensor. Where the hell do I start with this guys?

haha went out to get them, got taco bell instead and totally forgot.

went and got them though. P1259 and P0122. Vtec system malfunction, and sensor "a" circuit low voltage, respectively.

i have checked the wiring at least that i can see that connects to the tps. doesnt look damaged. the tb itself is very clean, doesnt appear to be damaged in any way.

Should I be at the point where I just plan on buying a new tb? Or what other steps should I take to diagnose the issue? Is there a guide on this code somewhere? Ha. I'm downloading a service manual now to see if I can find anything..
