Damn PCV valve. Any tips?

I've located the PCV valve, and can hardly manage to get to it from the top of the engine compartment (I got the hose removed, but cant get the PCV out! A combination of my hands not being small enough and stuff in the way.). Any tips or tricks to getting it out? I unclipped the throttle cable to help move it out of the way, but there's A/C hoses in the way that I don't think I can really move.

I think its a deep 17mm socket to remove it, but there's like no room in there. I can't jack up the car because I have no jack (well, besides the emergency jack), jackstands, or ramps.

The rest of my tune-up went very well:
- Got the throttle body and EGR out and cleaned the hell out of them with throttle body cleaner, there was a significant amount of carbon on that throttle body, it was nasty.
- Replaced air filter, spark plugs, and fuel filter.
- Poured a bottle of Red Line SI-1 into the tank and filled it up (that should clean out the fuel injectors among other things).

PS: To depressurize the fuel line when replacing the fuel filter, skip trying to remove the PGM-FI relay, it's a real pain in the ***. Just disconnect the wiring harness from the fuel pump and start the engine, it'll hiccup and die in about 10 seconds. Also, who the heck said there was a sock in the tank... I swear that I've read that people have said there is a sock, but none to be found... just the regular in-tank filter.

should be able to get it from the top. you have enough space for a socket wrench to turn a few clicks and loosen it. its cramped but possible. dont forget to put a new washer when tightening it.

i would use the emrg jack and jack up the driver side and get to it from under because you can see. i just did this and i slid in kinda under the driver door and was able to get with no problem.

Re: Damn PCV valve. Any tips?

I managed to change it, only took like 5 minutes this time. Last time I was messing with my 1/2" wrench, cause I have a 17mm for it but it's too big and I have no room, so I went and bought a 17mm deep socket for my 3/8" wrench, which is a bit smaller, and I had enough room to do it from above.

Also, I reused the old washer, it looked like a plain old aluminum washer to me, so I reused it... was it a crush washer? Lol.
