Hesitation?
timig belt broke on my friends car recently! we checked everything and did these following items.
1. Replace Head Gasket & all other gaskets, belts.
2. Bolted the head according to the proper pattern. Did valve clearance to.
3. Timing
4. Replaced the catalytic converter too.
here is the problem? The car hesitates when taking off from redlight! All the spark Plugs are firing according to my friend. I can not think why the car hesistates other than it not firing on a cylinder. May be too rich or too lean on fuel?
please guide me on why its doing it. nothing is coming to mind right now
and i feel like all our work is goin down the

Re: Hesitation?
First off, isnt this a repost?

more information?
Changed the catalytic converter as it was a long time problem and changed it when we were putting the engine back together.
I checked all the spark plugs and all of them are firing.
Checked the timing and its off. Also ran out of adjustment on the distributor! (what are the chances of that) I know the first thing it comes to mind is that the timing belt is off. But three people checked it three four times and they al said it is installed right! (crankshaft - aligned with TDC and the camshaft pulley oriented to UP position)

Re: Hesitation?
have u looked at the throttle cable and is it tight or how about the transmission and the clutch assy if its hesitation and ur cars running then the engine is fine its just a delay in acceleration so you start the car and it starts so the engine is good then you try to accelerate and you get a delay so the problem lies in your throttle or your transmission be it auto or manuel it doesnt matter manuel check your clutch auto check your torque converter and drive shafts
i could be completely off but
