Battery Light Flickering
Battery Light Flickering
About a week ago my turn signals were malfunctioning but I didn't look into it because after about 30 minutes they were back to normal. They would blink about once or twice and then turn off even though the turn signal stock was still engaged. I decided to check all the fuses today and also bought a relay since I thought I might need it. Replaced a blown fuse under the dash and tried to replace the relay but couldn't get my hands in the right place so I decided to test the turn signals. Started the car and the turn signals still didn't work but now my battery light was flickering on and off. Not staying on and not blinking steadily. Took it to Autozone since I have warranty on the battery. Guy there checked my battery and we figured out my alternator is bad. Got a new battery to make it back home but now have get a new alternator. Getting it replaced tomorrow but was wondering if the turn signals were going out because of my dying battery or could this be a completely separate and coincidental event.

Re: Battery Light Flickering
Do not get a "rebuilt" alternator from the parts store.
Either get a used OEM from a junkyard, new OEM, or new aftermarket from a good brand.
