Both low beams simultaneously went out
Both low beams simultaneously went out
Both headlight's dlr and high beams are working but the low beams aren't :'( Here's what transpired before it happened, I was pulling up to a drive thru and I switched my low beams to dlr, so that the cars in front of me wouldn't have my lights hitting them (out of respect) waited about 7-12 mins in line till I got my order (Also there was a lil uphill that I was stopped on and I accidentally reved my car to 4k rpms lol) Then I go to turn on my low beams and they won't come on.
I tried reving to see if the low beams would start flickering but no and tried letting it almost stall out to see if it would start flickering but no, I didn't do much after that cause it was really late but I'd like to hear what everybody might say on what I should try to fix the issue (I'm posting this just in case I can't figure it out myself)

Re: Both low beams simultaneously went out
Did you try checking the bulbs? While not completely common, it'd not unbelievable that both bulbs would go out at the same time
otherwise, if they're good, check the fuse. The low beams have their own fuse.
If you have an 01-03, the H4's are dual filament bulbs (one filament for low beam, one for high/DRL). If you have an 04-05, those are split beams. 9006 for low, 9005 for high.

This is another question but are you supposed to grease the bulbs prongs or something?

Re: Both low beams simultaneously went out
It's recommended by some because the h4 connection isn't water resistant.
I'll have to take a look at a wiring diagram, but another thing to check may be the light relay. 95% sure the low and high beams have separate relays, too
Test the bulbs by applying direct 12vdc to it. I think I have a diagram somewhere of what prongs are what. I'll check my laptop when I get home and post it up for you
