2004 Civic LX DRL problem

Ever since i replaced my bulbs to LED 9005 9006, the DRL dash light starts randomly flashing at random times. It could be in the middle of driving or just anytime at all. The DRL dash light sometimes also stay lit when releasing the hand brake. The only way to get rid of this is to turn on my lowbeams. I also lost my DRLs, and I thought it was just my bulb placement so I fixed it and now my passenger high beams wont work. I read about people having the same problems and found that it could be the DRL module so I gave it a shot and soldered it.

Im definitely not a professional and this was my first time doing this with just a little practice and videos.

Anyways, soldering the unit didn't do me any better. Could it be the fuse? Or the bulbs itself? Any help would be great!

The DRL unit is likely looking for a certain current draw from the bulbs to know they are working. The LEDs would pull a lot less making the unit think a bulb has burned out. Either swap back to a standard bulb or add in a load resistor.

Could you provide a link to these LED bulbs with the resistors incorporated please?

Do you still have them installed and do you get flashed by other driver's at night?

Plug and play LED bulbs will cause the DRLs not to work unless you have resistors. The DRLs operate via the high beams in the dual-filament H4 halogen bulb. No DRLs = failed vehicle inspection in my neck of the woods.

If i get the load resistor, will my passenger high beam finally work? or could my right high beam be the fuse? and considering if it worked, would my DRLs finally work with the LED bulbs?
