Driver side mirror and speaker problem

Hey guys I plan on upgrading my speakers since my front driver side isn’t working but before I got started on that I started to think maybe it’s linked to my driver side mirror not working (also the heat isn’t working on it either) whereas everything passenger side is working fine. Any suggestions to trouble shoot my issues here? Are the two linked. Could it be a slipped clip or a wiring issue? My car is actually a 2001 Acura el but to by knowledge it’s just a rebadge

EDIT: Hey guys tackled the speakers today, turns out for my mirror it wasn't plugged in (wtf). New speaker didn't end up working for the driver side but never ended up taking off the plastic and checking out the harness.

Check for broken wires in the door harness. Fairly common issue

I've a 2003 Acura EL for 10 years now if you have any questions on other topics...

I swapped out the door speakers and made a huge difference. Just soldered the old harness to the new and plugged in. Your issue sounds like a broken wire or poor harness connection or bad speaker.

Re: Driver side mirror and speaker problem

Yeah i put in a new driver speaker using a harness from meta but it never ended up working, and since the old speaker didnt even move or vibrate then it must mean its an electrical issue. Not sure how to diagnose/fix since I'm a total car and electrical noob. Any tips on fixing this, im a big music nut.

I’m about to check it right now. Do I just take the panel off and then all that plastics and begin inspecting connections? I tried to check the wire boot on the driver door but it was too long and I wasn’t able to get a good look at the wires

You need to remove the harness from the door to peel the boot back, if the wires are broken they'll be broken inside the rubber boot

ok I see so I’d have to unclip all of the connections and pull the wires through to where the boot is on the door?

Yep and then there's a plug just inside the door opening on the body
