Re: Civic 01 ground wires

moved to correct subforum

1) battery to chassis (forward/under fuse box)
2) chassis (same point as #1) to tranny
3) chassis (upper radiator support) to engine (by upper radiator hose)

Now, if you're just looking for wherever random ground bolts are (where they grounded out various electrical components from the factory), they're all over the place. There is, indeed, one of those below the passenger headlight. There's also one under the center console. Another behind the rear trim piece in the trunk. Probably a bunch of other places I haven't looked or have forgotten. The aforementioned list is the "big 3" people upgrade.

I upgraded the ground wires yesterday but i don't know the way to upgrade the alternator wire in my 01 civic
some ppl says i can make a direct wire from the alternator to the battery and some of them says this will damage the battery because alternator will not stop charging the battery

Do u know how to upgrade it properly ??
Thanks

The latter is false, you can safely connect the positive from the alternator directly to the positive on the battery. (It's recommended to add a fuse.)

Just be careful, the positive pin on the alternator has a tendency to snap when trying to remove the nut.

Re: Civic 01 ground wires

It's necessary for the alternator to be charging the battery always, when the car is running.

When I upgraded my alternator positive cable 4 years ago, I connected the cable directly from the alternator positive to battery positive. No electrical issues here, and I moved my battery to the trunk 2 years ago. Good luck with your project!
