My girlfriend has a near mint 2004 civic ex. The sunroof worked when she got it but after about a month, it stopped working. There are no blown fuses. Has anyone else had this problem? Could there be a bad switch?

Does it do anything at all when you push the button? Does it make a grinding noise or any noise at all?

I have not tested the relays. Right after it stopped working it would make a noise when you pushed the button, like a click, and now there is no noise at all.

The lack of noice means the motor is not running or is burnt out, either you have no power going to the motor or its shot. Check relays connections..

I have a 04 civic also and replaced the switch and it worked. About 6 months later same thing, didnt work so i just said the hell with it!!! There is something funky with these cars!! My back windows didnt work then did one day. I guarentee its not the relay. Dont waste your money. Switch for sure!!! Or a loose connection on the sunroof motor

Did you check the flux capacitor? Those things are known to go bad sometimes.

Could be the operator valve is bad and needs to be replaced.

Get to someplace quite and pust the button by the change holder and listen for a click at the moonroof. If you hear a click up around the sunroof its not the switch.

I have a 09 civic lxs sedan and my sun roof doesnt open or close tried to find fuse and relay dont know where it is makes no sound when trying to use the switch. Could it be broken cause of the sun roof motor.
