Messed up car salesmen! waaha
hah so yesterday me and a friend went to Kelowna for a few things (its an hour drive from here) and we thought we'd have a little fun while we were there and went around to all the car lots and checked out the sorts of cars we don't get to see in Vernon... First off lemme say the Subaru dealer was sweet... didn't put on too much pressure... or too little... was very nice... and I got to look in a WRX [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
Now the acura dealer... oh... my... gosh...
So we go in there, act as if we're all interested in the RSX... he hardly tells us anything... so, a little frusterated I start looking at the 1.7EL.... and I mention "this is kinda like an Acura Civic is it not?... i mean with a bigger engine and a few xtra toys..." trying to maintain friendliness to the salesman... he gets all annoyed and replies "thats what the Honda dealer will tell you, and NO, it's NOT. It has a more powerful engine and tons of more stuff in it"
wow did he ever lose his cool.
Now onto the pontiac lot - we wanted to see that new "Vibe" thingy... So we find it... it isn't as horrible as originally percieved, but like most pontiacs, is about 1/4 made out of plastic. So whatever... the salesman approaches... and me and my friend comment it looks like a mini-aztek (which it totally does!) and here we go again - ANOTHER dealer farts bricks at us... he gets all defencive and he's like "it doesnt look like an AZTEK at all!" --- and here comes the sales pitch... "It looks like a matrix... It's a matrix underneath!"
well we basically both ran back to my car because we were trying not to laugh... I just wanted to say to the dealer "OHHHHH, so GM has achieved toyota reliability now eh!... what a sales pitch bud!"
anywho - this post is really useless... but oh well.

when my parents were trying to decide between a Volvo s80 and a bimmer 5, the salesman at volvo (richmond) was asked:
if you were me, what car would you choose?
answer: Of course I'd choose the BMW!! It looks much better and it's a driver's car!
(of course, i couldn't agree more, but how's this guy gonna earn a living??)

when i was thinking of buying a used car.. he totally agreed with me.. saying this and that.. then i turned and said.. no.. i think i'll get the new 2k1 (at the time).. and he then started to tell me how its better than a used car. .. blah blah..

My dealer knew I was looking into either used or new... so he didn't downplay either to make what i was looking at at the time in some way better so I'd buy... I had a really awesome salesman [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

Rep Power: 0 yeah i had a sweet *** saleswomen. see was awesome not to mention HOT. i got a good deal cause i begged for hours plus she bought me lunch. go see her, Marty at Richmond Honda. next time i trade my civic i'll be seeing marty again. i just wish i could see her on a pleasure basis. lol[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]
