Post Front Multi Use Camera

Good morning, I need help please. My 2016 honda civic looses power while I'm driving. I will be driving then all of the sudden it slows down for a few seconds and then its fine again. My check engine light is not on. I took it to honda and they really couldnt tell me the issue because they didnt drive it. When I talked to them they said my front multi function camera is bad and that is the issue. This makes no sense to me and of course that camera is about $1600.

Re: Front Multi Use Camera

not a general 10th gen post, rather a mechanical issue, moved to correct section

Re: Front Multi Use Camera

try another dealership and get a 2nd opinion.

When you say "loses power," do you mean power to the wheels or electrical power?

Re: Front Multi Use Camera

I mean electrical I guess. I'll be driving and then all of the sudden it slows way down for a few seconds and then picks up speed again. It's like I pressed the break for a second. No one knows what is going on and Honda is trying to say it's from the front camera and I just don't believe that.

Re: Front Multi Use Camera

It could be if it has the accident avoidance/braking feature

Re: Front Multi Use Camera

Does it just do it randomly or whenever there's another car in front of you? If the latter, seems like it's the CMBS functioning as intended
