2016 Honda Civic EX "Charging System Problem" [solved]
History: I replaced my Civic's alternator about a month ago myself when I had a bevy of issues with a newer battery going dead and tests at O'Reily and Autozone both failing my OEM alternator with regulation tests. One new alternator and battery would have my car working fine for just over a month. In the last 48 hours, my car threw up a "charging system problem" alert followed by 4-5 alerts that typically go off when my battery is low or dying (Hill assist, abs, brake system, etc). The check engine light is not on. My Civic has 65300 miles on the odometer.
Good to note: The car runs like normal and none of the systems alerting seem to be malfunctioning in practicality. If the lights were to be invisible, I wouldn't notice anything wrong.
I took my car to Autozone to get the codes and the following codes are present
U3000-49 | FCW/LDW camera unit internal failure
U3006-17 | IG1 Circuit Open
C0051-62 | Steering angle sensor stack malfunction
U0401-68 | Invalid data received from PCM
I've double checked my connections from the battery to the alternator as both were replaced in late July and have done the alternator test by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery while the car is running. None of the cables look to be damaged or improperly connected.
Any thoughts? I have replaced the alternator and belt myself so I do have some auto know-how but electrical typically is either super simple or incredibly complex lol
