My 2019 civic kept needing jumped after I jumped my parents on 5/6. I’ve had the car for almost a year and a half and it’s needed jumped about 3 times prior with no other issues. I don’t leave any lights on. I got it tested 5/7 at a car shop and all codes led back to alternator. They couldn’t get one in until 5/11. Got it changed then. Everything was fine until Friday, 5/13. It started hesitating before starting again. Tonight, 5/15, i got in my car to come to work and it was clicking again like my battery was dead and the lights to my radio turned off. The dash read an emissions problem. I held the car in start and it finally turned over but my interior lights and head lights were flickering a little. When I drive, it stays running and I don’t have any other issues.

i plan to get the car tested again, along with battery and new alternator. Anyone have any ideas on what this is?
car has just hit 75,000 miles as well.

Is it worse when the car sits for a few days without being started? Sounds like there is a parasitic battery draw.

I live 5 minutes from work and it hadn’t died all week last week until I would drive on the interstate and then get out for a couple hours and then try and start again. This morning I went to lunch break and it started. I let it run for 30 mins. This was at 3-15:3:45 and then at 7am when I got off it wouldn’t start and I needed jumped

What brand is the new alternator? Do you still have the old one?
