Unhappy Help Please

I have a 2018 Honda Civic EX. I got a multitude of alerts and a 12 volt battery charging system problem alert cycling on my dash (speedometer area). My battery was replaced brand new in July. Had the alternator tested and was told it was bad. Then had the new one installed and got 3 days of use before all alerts came back. I barely made it into my driveway before the car lost all power on the 3rd day of driving it for about 4 hours. The battery died I am assuming as I didn't have any lights including the halogens and those are on all the time (I have never been able to figure out how to turn them off). My driver window was down slightly and no juice to get it up. This morning I went to the car to get something and just tried to start it. The damn thing started, all the alerts are on the dash still; however the 12 volt battery alert did not pop on. Anything anyone can help with would be great and most appreciated. I know a little about cars, but nothing when it comes to electrical issues. I am at a loss. This is now my 3rd alternator being the 2nd within the past week. The 1st was replaced a week ago and then all the alerts came back. The current alternator was only in for three days before all the alerts came back. The 1st alternator had a clutch pulley on it and the 2nd did not. Per the auto part store they looked and matched up the same so they were not sure what the difference if any were. The 1st alternator's clutch pulley was plastic with a cap the 2nd alternator looked the same but the "clutch" pulley part was metal and no cap.

Re: Help Please

It sounds like a defective alternator was installed, and the few times it starts it’s just running off the battery. I’d take it back to wherever you got the work done.

Re: Help Please

take to dealer?
don't know about the 10th gen, but 7th gen had a ELD that would cause issues like that.

Re: Help Please

These cars don't like aftermarket alternators. Get an OEM Honda one. Junkyard if you don't want to pay for a new one
