I have a used 2017 Civic LX and I need help determining the chirping sound under dash after startup. It varies every time I start the car. Sometimes it doesn't chirp, sometimes it chirps 1, 2, 3, and the max I heard it chirped 9 times. It's not the chirp after you insert the key. Listen to it after it started. Please see the video as you can hear what I'm talking about. Hopefully, there is nothing wrong with it.​

I know. I'm at lost here. I don't see any post about this. I'm not sure if the previous owner put some sort of an electronic monitoring system or whatever gadget that makes this sound.

if you can get under the dash (the front panel under the wheel just kinda pulls off, but there is an electrical connector and vent tube for the auto A/C) and see if anything looks aftermarket, that's what I'd do. I've had my 2018 Sport hatchback (same instrument cluster and radio as yours) since Nov 2017 and have never heard a toy laser gun going off under my dash.

edit: just realized you said yours was a 17 EX.. are you sure you have an EX? I was under the assumption that all the EX and above trims came with the fancy gauge cluster and touchscreen radio

Did you ever find out what this noise was? My 2023 Honda civic does the same thing
