Parking Brake Sensor Issue
Parking Brake Sensor Issue
I have a 2021 Honda Civic sport with the manual transmission. I replaced a rear brake pad and while doing the job I mistakenly pulled the parking brake sensor wires out from inside the connector. It appears that the connector really just holds the wires in place such that each wire end goes over a peice of metal on the other side. I thought I was able to put it back together with some epoxy so everything was connected again.
Unfortunately the left parking brake still isn't engaging. But that isn't the big problem because one side is sufficient for my purposes. The problem is the error message and the beeping when I drive the car.
Two questions then:
-Any thoughts on fixing the parking brake sensor wiring connection? The white and black wires and their ends are still in good condition, just had pulled out of the connector
-Any thoughts on turning off the error code on my dash (along with the beeping)?
-Even if I did connect properly again, do I need to reset something?
