Question brake failure

I have 2018 Honda Civic with total 5000 miles on it. 2 months ago while I was driving I wanted to stop and brakes failed I couldn't. in order to stop the car I hit the sidewalk curb to stop the car. Have emergency brakes ands it didn't work either.

I took it to Honda service , they send their experts and they said there was no problem with the brakes. emergency brake system didn't work because I hit the foot break the computer recognized I hither brake already and there is no need for emergency brakes. they told me that plastic floor mats were the problem they interfered with the brake system otherwise brakes system and the computer is fine. they said we should get rid of her plastic mat and it should not happen again.

this week hit happened again and we were not so lucky this time. we hit the car in front of us and our car totaled. thank God there is no hurt people.

did anyone had similar issue? doers anyone know what would be the real problem? it is a horrible feeling screaming the bakes failed again and can't do anything other than hitting the car in front.

Re: brake failure

How did the brakes feel? For example, when they fail, does the pedal sink right to the floor or is it solid and barely moves?

You did remove the floor mat, right?

Re: brake failure

That means the car lost brake pressure. Lots of ways that can happen, ranging from low fluid due to leaks, to the brake master cylinder failing, to the Pistons in your brake calipers not retracting fully.

Re: brake failure

Oh damn. I have a 2018 hatch with 39.5k on the clock, zero issues so far.
