Weird droaning noise while driving, please help
To those who currently drives a Civic Hatchback, I need any help on this forum to solve this strange noise, which I am dealing with this crap for 7 months with no help.

I bought a 2021 Civic hatchback EX back in July, which is my second civic (the first one was a used ’17 sedan which i bought back in ’19; unfortunately it was damaged by a massive hailstorm). But, when I left the dealership (didn’t test drive beforehand), began hearing this loud droning like sound (it sounds like you're making noises when you're blowing on top of a plastic wattle bottle). The noise sounds the same regardless of speed. It appears to be coming from the rear. Two days later while driving on highway, the noise is more pronounce. What is so odd is that it comes on certain roads. driving on smoother blacktop streets, the noise stops. But when I hit a different surface, the noise is present. In sept, i took the car back to the dealer and told them about this strange noise. Unfortunately, they couldn’t find the problem and thinks that the noise could be cause by the surface of the streets. WTF. Weeks later, I temporary aired the tires to 45psi and the sound is far more worse. Thinking its the tires, I replaced the Continental Pro contact TX tires with Firestone. Didn’t work; the same noise is still present. A month later, I wrote a email to the dealership, voicing my dissatisfaction with the noise. They offer to find a solution to problem. I even wrote a letter to Honda. I took one of the service advisors on a ride. In Dec, the shop called me and told me that they have drove similar cars (mainly other customer cars) and they claimed that all produce the same noise. What upset me the most is that they unable to fix the problem due to some issue with Honda. I don’t believe them because I drove a civic sedan that didn’t make that noise.
To be honest, I really like the car, but the more I drive it, the more i hate it, simply because I can’t stand the noise as well as the dealer unwilling to help me. Much worse, when I go on road trips, the noise is more worse and louder. I discovered online that it could be caused by a bad wheel bearing. i don’t know what a bad wheel bearing sounds like because I hardly have any issues with them. I’m looking at options ranging from taking the car to another dealer to see if they can solve this problem, using sound deadening materials or simply selling the car and buying a different car. The second and third options are problematic because one, sound proofing a car looks to be a painful task and two, other than used cars there’s hardly any new inventory and even then it has gotten more expensive.
I need all the help I can get because this noise is driving me crazy and makes me wanna get rid of it.

If it's a bad wheel bearing any decent mechanic should be able to ido a few tests on it to isolate it as the issue. Here's a read on diagnosing: https://www.eeuroparts.com/blog/how-...bearing-noise/
Failing alternators can make a droning noise.

Re: Weird droaning noise while driving, please help
Because the "trunk" area in hatchbacks is shared with the rest of the cabin you get alot more road and tire noise in the car. As opposed to a sedan/coupe where the truck is isolated
