WTB: Interior paint

Plastikote, Foliotech, Canadian Tire stuff, etc. I've even heard to use plastic model paint. Which ones have you guys used, and which ones last? (or rather, which ones don't?)

I know Plastikote has distributors in GTA, but I think some of you have used the Canadian Tire stuff before?

I'm planning on choosing a unique colour, so I might look around, and try and find something. Just want to know where everyone got their paint from, etc.

yeah they have it at performance improvements but like he said they are over-over priced... Go to the games gallery at Square one and use the model paint... they have funky colours, especially at Sherway.

do not use "u-fix-it" vinyl paint from canadiantire.

it sucks. you can scratch the paint using finger nail.

what is plastikote anyway? is it a brand?

there is "Duron" plastic kote paint. but is for house use, and it is white.

oh I am doomed!!

I used plastikote vinyl paint of door panel, door sill and kick panel. I am conservative and I choosed black vinyl paint.

no luck, after the paint get dry I still can scratch it off using finger nails!!! For me this is a "Fail".

smokedcivic has a little shameless behaviour in the past
i used Vinyl colour from canadian tire...... first i primed with plastic primer then sprayed the vinyl white on top and i haven't had a problem yet either..... so far so good.... its been about 2 months now no chipping... actually i also sprayed clear coat so it has a nice gloss to it as well.

hi,

people, here is the conclusion.

the material of the door panel, door sill and kick panel is polyproplyne or <pp>. Vinyl paint alone will never work. Yes, it will stay on it but you can scrach right off using your finger nail. Personnally, I think this is not satisfactory. Therefore, after trying "U-fix-it" Vinyl paint, and "Plastikote" vinyl paint, I conclude no success. So, I did soome research. The result is, you have to use "Krylon" "fusion". It is a paint for any kind of plastic, PVC. It cost 5.99$ CD, I believe it must be cheap in U.S. It has any kind of color (red, blue, white, black, orage).

Also you can use "SEM" vinly/plastic/pvc/abs plastic paint. This is the best paint but it is 11.50$ US. If you want perfect result and if you are rich, use this. However, Krulon "fusion" have the same effect as "SEM".

So now there is a person (me) who is actually stupid enough to try all and find out the best.

thanks.
