Snow Ride Height

I reccently put 17" rims with 215/45/17 Potenza tires on my 2k1 civic sedan.

I live in Toronto CANADA where we get alot of snow during winter times, I wanna lower my car about two inches so it looks even better. BUt i don't want it to be too low so that the car touches the salty road. Therefore i am leaning towards coilovers, which i have read to be terrible in salty conditions.

I plan on getting a body kit next summer so I don't want my car to be super low that the salt and slow will eat at it. I just want my ride height be nice and comfortable.

So Should I:
a.) Buy Neuspeed or H&R lowering springs for now, and worry about the snow later.
b.) Save my money and buy Tien SS coilovers. (I also read that coilovers are bad in snow since the salt will corrode the sleeve and among other stuff). Anybody with Tiens using them in CANADA? How are they in the snow?
c.)Or ride on my stock springs and struts and hope that the body kit gives it the lowered kit and still have decent clearence and not plow the snow.

go with goldline or a similar drop. i got mine lowered over christmas on goldlines and we got about 3-4 feet of accumulated snow and i was fine. with a kit you may plow a bit but it should be to bad.

btw, goldlines drop about 1.75"

H&R sport springs drop about 1.5"

but if ur looking for real coilovers without the high price of teins
get JIC just as good but without the higher price of tiens

I got H&R on my ride, the drop is nice (some rear camber...blech) and I got it done this past Feb, so it's been through the worst snow we had this winter. No problems at all.

Dude, don't worry about it. Alot of peeps here have body kits with lowered stance and they drove through winter just fine. Just don't drive when the snow is like 2 feet high or something.

d00d, I have goldlines currently, and during the winter I only plowed the snow ONCE.

and that was during a huge snowstorm, late at night when the plows hadn't been by.

I have the OEM kit, but my exhaust is the lowest point in my car.

In toronto, I wouldn't worry about it! go for goldlines, or an equivalent drop if you just want springs (1.75").

no way?!

I have the same problem!

the passenger side isn't as low as the drivers side!

when I installed them, I figured it would go away after a while, but I still have the problem

It's both the front and the back for me...it sucks

Just get the Neuspeed sports and put on some steel tires in the winter. When I had my 2k1 sedan it was fine in the winter.

Neuspeed sport has drop of 1.7 all around.

I suggest the H&R, with 1.5" drop. Because when you get the kit, the actual bumpers are lower than the stock ones.

When I get my next car in 3 years or so, I'm going to just take off the kit in the winter (or atleast front and back bumpers) and put on the stock ones. Seems best to me.
