Exclamation Bad Sound...

Arite guys... i'm not sure wut this is... so hopefully someone here on the board can help me...

I got a 2k2 LX Coupe... i recently put on a CAI and last week when i was driving, when I got over 6K RPM it began to make a ticking sound... not too lound but it was still noticable from inside the car... so i checked to see if it was my intake that was knocking against anything... and i found a spot that i was so i took of the bottom part of my cold air (where it was possibly knocking) and just left it as short ram... i took it for a run again and i'm still hearing the sound... has this happend to anyone? or does anyone know what to do about it?

smokedcivic has a little shameless behaviour in the past
try putting you stock intake back on and if it still makes that noise then take it back to honda for your 3 year warranty... just don't tell the mabout your intake.

Popkorn should not be trusted
What kind of CAI is it?

Would it be knocking against your hood or strut bar (if you got one?)

Would it be something like this case?

Yeah I hear that now too since I picked up my civic... I thought I would be used to hearing knocking sounds by now from driving my beat up accord but I guess not. Do what I did... everytime you hear that knocking sound from your car, do this ---> along with the sound. j/p
