You can say that Honda uses cheap glass that is unable to sustain its properties upon cold weather, otherwise toughluck, theres 300$ for a new windshield.

How badly is it cracked? If it's hardcore, you gotta get a new one, if it's VERY TINY then, you can just get it sealed up.

Sounds to me like you are going to have to replace it.

I just shattered my windshield by telling my freind to bang on it so I could show him how the pager alarm worked.

I went to Honda and they said to go to Standard Auto Glass cause it wouldnt be covered under warranty.

Most Auto Glass places will pay your deductible for you and the insurance company covers the rest and it shouldnt affect your premiums. I am with State Farm and I specifically asked them about 3 times to make sure my rates wouldnt go up because of this. The only problem I had was that my deductible was $300 for something like this, and most auto glass shop's only cover $100. I had to call around like crazy to see which place would cover the most of my deductible.

Apple Auto Glass was the best covering $200.

I only had to pay $100 out of my own pocket.

Good luck, hope this info helps you out.

damn... thanks for the info guys.... I'll call up my insurance company and check whether they'll increase my premiums if I claim it....

but I'll be sure to call up Roadsport tomorrow morning to complain about the "cheapness" of the windshield... specially this car was only off the lot couple weeks ago...

If it is weather change that causes the windshield crack .. I am sure you can claim it under the warranty !!
