HUBS!
I have a silver civic with tints, and was wondering how the hubs would look if they were sprayed gun-metal? Does anyone have pictures of a car like this? Has anyone done this? How did it look? How did you do it?
Thanks.
p.s. I'm 18 and can't afford rims so shut up
Thanks.

i think it also looks pretty ghetto running on just the steelies without the hubs in spring/summer
try getting some cheap hubcaps from crappytire or wherever and experiment spraying those

my hubcaps are pretty ugly and mine would look gay. If u are on a money budget or whatever just pull the hub caps and bust the steelies than.....gunmetaling stock rims would look alright but not hubs......
i have a white coupe and i sprayed my hubs white they look okay for now until i get new rims... i mean they are good for winter tires...some peeps actually even think they are rims from a distance so i think thats a pretty cool cheap mod. but other than that just sand them down with some sand paper and put 3 coats of wateva colour you desire... as for the gunmetal i think it would look alrite on silver if it's not to dark.
WELL HOW MUCH YOU WILLING TO SPEND ON HUBS, TO TELL YOU THE HONEST TRUTH I DON'T THINK IT IS WORTH THE MONEY I WOULD SAVE IT AND PUT IT ELSE WHERE....FROM HONDA THEY ARE LIKE 40 A PIECE.
IT'S A RIP OFF SO IF YOU REALLY WANT HUBS THOUGH Y DON'T YOU CHECK CRAPPY TIRE OUT.

yes, save your money up.
i've seen this accord with sick *** bling bling rims .. i get a closer look, they were hub caps ... and there were only 2 on. so what i'm saying is ... if you ahve nice hub caps, ppl will steal them. if that's what your planning to do. if your missing a hub cap.. i say just go along with it. or take off all your caps. looks nicer to just run an steelies.... looks like the car is hovering at night time ...

Wht the spraying hubcaps! thats as worst as those chome hubcaps, i was one pic where the guy sprayed his lx hubs and actually looked okay, so if u like that i would go for it but just use it as winter rims
just take them off.......ppl will mock u badly.....if u get looks from ppl on the streets ...thats not ppl thinkin it looks good....those are ppl mocking ur ride....so just take them off......but its up to u
So....
Most of you guys think for a Civic it looks better running on steelies without hubs???
Remember that stock Civic steelies are silver, not black.....
I dunnno...... steelies?? All summer long?
If I was running stock hubcap'd wheels I'd rather just leave them stock (i.e. w/hubcaps)
I'm running my winter tires without hubcaps though, and they're black steelies...
You should be able to purchase REPLICA 2k1/2k2 Honda Civic hubcaps (I think the LX model, not the Si hubcaps) for $100 for a set of 4 from Green Bay Tires. NOT SURE if it has the imprint of the H logo in the middle though, can't remember. Just walk in, I saw it during the winter on their wall when I picked up my Arctic Alpins...
$100 was too much for 4 pieces of plastic IMO....

Or like whoever said.....go to crappy tire and upgrade a little to a nicer Hub, or look in tri-ad and **** for cheap rims
dude take my advice. DON'T SPRAY YOUR WHEEL COVERS ANY COLOR. that's just pathetic.
save up your cash and buy real gun metal rims. if the stock covers bother you that bad then take them off but please, don't spray them. it's a waste of time and paint.
BTW: i got a hook up for a set of used 17" MR7 rims in gun metal for a price you might be able to afford. you'll have to buy your own tires but at least you'll have rims, it's a start. if you're interested pm me.
