can i get ticketed for going...

... only let's say 10kph over the limit? I remember reading the ontario driver's booklet thingy and said that i can only be ticketed if i go above 16kph over the limit... this is wierd since i've been hearing people get ticketed for only going 10 or 15 over... i usually go at least 10 over and haven't had any problems so far...

what should i believe?

well technically if you go 5 over, you're already speeding. I'd stick with the speed limit if I were you.... 150-180 km/hr is fine!

yeah if you go over 5, it is still speeding...but no points deducted...

usually the cops won't care if you are within 10 k...but if you go over 10 k over the limit..then they will catch u....just make sure you don't go over 20...then they start to deduct points.....and if you go over 30 then it is 4 points riught there....that's what I got....>_<

That is true. It really depends on the cop. They could be a pain but most of them don't care if you are 10 over.

As "SPIDEY" said they can still give u a ticket but the only diff is that u will not get any points. But most often u should be fine with 10km/h over and in the wrost case u can always fight it.

it all depends on how badly the cop needs his quota...

yup for 10 over you can get a ticket but no points deducted, 15-20 is 1 point off and it increases fast after that.

it all depends on the officer's mood ... I got caught twice rolling stop a stop sign.
Fortunately, I got off from both of them

Back a few weeks they did have a blitz where if you go 110 on the 400 series highway they'd give you a ticket.

Normally they don't give jack about 10 over... Hell, they'd probably high beam you and pass.
