When you get front (and rear) speakers you have to watch the mounting depth. Apparently, its pretty shallow. When I looked into getting mine I read about people not being able to put there windows all the way down etc. Im sure there are certain spacers and stuff that allow bigger speakers. But its just something to watch for.

EDIT 189 installed is cheap for alarm. I never heard of that company b4

I was looking at CodeAlarm and they were like 3-400 + install

mounting depth for the coupe i beleive is 2"s, you should easily be able to find a top of the line 2 way 6 1/2' speaker for under $150. if you want to go with a ture component sytem you'll be paying about $250 and up. you can probably find a 6 1/2' tweeter set with an inline crossover for $150, but they are hard to find. DAN, do you have the tweeter kit in your car already?

I still have the stock speakers in. to me it just sounds as im not getting much hi's from the front door speakers. i havn't had time to play with my decks settings yet. but i was just looking into the prices for them and since i have alpine everything else i saw the type r with the tweeter component for like 320. i didnt think they would be so much $.

kerri: yeah it took a while to get the deal closed on the crx cause they wanted it with emissions. i had to leave it with mike to take care of it cause i had to leave. he changed the oil/new plugs/air filter/ new cat.
did u get the cd from him that i made for u?

Rick: how do i find out the weight of the rims from tiretrend? i was looking at blatant 17's but not sure if i should get the silver or if i should go with the opal. opinions? its like 100 more per rim for the opal. ill see if i can rate u later i gotta goto school.

DAN- ya gotta go to the website for konig, it'll tell you there. the only reason some rims have their weight shown on tiretrends is b/c they are light weight. if they dont advertise the weight of the rim its probably about 22lbs. go for the silver, opal is hard to keep. ok i just checked the website for you, they are 18.14lbs for both @ 17" x 7.0"

Well I am still searching for the front turn signal lights. I wanted to take one out to show the people in the store and I just snapped the clip in like 2 seconds. So I couldnt get it out. So here's my question? If it looks like it'll fit, will it? Because it really only looks like there is one or 2 choices. I want to buy the lights and 2 new clips and just go to town in my own driveway.

BTW today was the first time I actually walked around the AW showroom. The other times I've been on a mission. IN and OUT. Some of the stuff is pretty nice and some is just awfull. But overall the whole setup isnt that bad.

I know what honda calls the bulbs. The front are 7443. The problem is the 7443 is what I have and ts clear. So if i ask for 7443 they give me a clear bulb.

I need a bulb that fits in the 7443. Do they make those LED like you (Rick) have in orange?

yeah the 7443 bulbs in orange (apc) will fit. you have to wiggle them a bit to get them in. its a bit snug.

DAN- opal is like chrome, you have to take good care of it, and it pits easy

JER-went to CT last nite, saw the bulbs, was gonna get them but couldn't remember if i said i was gonna get them or not, i wont be able to get them this weekend cause i'm tied up with my dads wedding all weekend. so if you want go, like dan said they are made by APC, they are inn the cage and they are 7443's, and yes you will have to wiggle them a bit to get them in.

1) i wen to the new Friday's last nite, it's at the new Marriot expansion in the falls, anyway we were invited to go and eat for free b/c the wife's best friend works there. wow nice looking place, good food but freakin expensive, i guess thats why i dont eat in the falls.

2) on my way home from work last nite i got on the highway at martindale heading east, some a_s in a sunfire is riding me trying to flex his bad american muscle. i decided to show him up and make him look like an ***, and i did. but as my speed kept increasing, much like the distance between our two cars i noticed something. by this time i was on the QE right by GROSSI tile and see this silver crown vic in the fast lane hit his breaks and duck outta the fast lane into the slow lane. SH_T a cop. so i ducked in to the slow lane and kept a little distance, only thing between us is a brown mini-van. the cop get sto lake st and turns his signal on and exits, **** that was my cut off, so i threw mine on to make him think i was gettin off. but nope, i was just screewin with him, as i got to the last moment i could be fore gettin back on the highway, i geared down into 3rd and busted out like a champ. i looked over and the cop was on the side of the road up near the service rd waiting for me, but he was stopped so i had a clean getaway. as i dropped back into the highway i look back and see him throw his flashers on and peel out, F_CK. i slammed on the gas and got off at niagara. as i got to the top of niagara street i could see the cop go wizzin by. hee see's me, hammers his breaks and hits the shoulder, throws it in reverse, this guys on a mission. needles to say i lost him in the side streets and got away scot free. he didn't get close enough to get my plate but i have a feelin i'll be takin a different route home today, just in case you were all wondering i was doin about 165km when the copper first spotted me. what a rush.

Thats some crazy stuff. I had to read it twice.

But now they're gunna be on the lookout for silver civics. And ours look quite similar to the untrained eye. Plate covers, kit, rims, lowered. All similar looking. OH well, I better be good now.

the niagara meet sounds cool but there is a car show here in kingston on june 14 with a mardi gras party afterwords. so i think im gonna stay here for it. kingston is awsome. but i'll be down for sure for the meet in niagara. i cant wait.
