UGH... ok.. i need help
i managed to do somethin really bright, and scratch up 2 of my rims, as well as totally mess up the camber on my front passenger wheel
luckily the body is untouched
i couldnt see anything which looked bent or out of place on the suspension (but then again, its pitch black outside, and all i had was a little keychain light)
the only thing i notice while driving is a pull to the right (which im thinking is just because of the funky camber... think bradens rear wheels when it was really dropped, except with the bottom sticking inwards and the top sticking out)
anyone have any recommendation about where to go to get the repairs done? i'm probably going to head to london honda (since they have the LAC discount).. and hopefully, if im really lucky, all that they'll have to do is an alignment
about the rims.. well.. they can wait, although the front passenger looks pretty bad... i remember someone saying something about a place around town that can do some good work (ie taking out bends, powder coating, etc.)... i hope the scratches arent toooo deep to be able to do anything with it

there is no way to adjust the camber of our wheels from the factory

so... forget the simple alignment
something mustve been seriously bent

ok... well.. i took a closer look and from what i can tell, things dont look tooooo bad
the tie rod is in good shape, but its connection to the strut assembly is on a pretty obvious angle (you know, the part where the tie rod boot is, then there is a bolt connecting it to the strut)
to me, that would logically mean that everything below that point is still straight (since the bend would have to be above the connection to the tie rod)
there isnt any oil leaking anywhere.. so, im guessing nothing serious happened to the shock
the CV joint *looks* ok and *felt* ok when i was driving, but then again, it was difficult to tell since the car was pulling right anyway
i popped the hood to take a look at the frame around where the strut is bolted on.. and it also doesnt seem bent, but its difficult to compare since the left and right sides of the frame are slightly different
anyway, best guess so far is that the upper part of the strut is damaged and took the brunt of the hit
EDIT: oh yeah, not to mention my rim taking quite a bit of the hit too
you guys are going to cry when you see the rim.. lol.. either that, or kick me for curbing it

I guess i'm not getting the Konis today. MattC1 was online a little while ago, i pm'd him asking him if he was still coming, and i haven't had a response back from him yet. I called him, left a message, nothing. I posted a message in the For Sale/Canada section under his thread for the Konis while he was online. I waited, and nothing. I'm not liking this at all. I'm not gonna sit here all day and wait. My girl is tanning right now in her back yard. I think i'm gonna head over there. he he he.

oh yeah.. i brought it into london honda this morning.. should be like new by wednesday
i guess my original look at things was pretty close: strut and strut spindle need replacement, but the control arm is also bent and needs to be replaced, the beam is only minimally damaged and should cause no problems
my front rim is totally wreaked, bent and all that.. the rear is just scrubbed a bit... i think im going to replace both of them (chris is getting me a pretty good deal on them)
thank god i kicked my laziness and actually paid my $15 to join the LAC.. it just saved me about $350
no mods for a while
(cept maybe that shift boot.. cause it'll be free.. lol)im not sure what im going to do with two fugly rims tho.....

ahhh.. i see
well.. i'd like to use it as a full size spare, but i wont have a tire for it
the paradas on the busted up rims are going to get taken off and put on the new rims
maybe i'll hang onto it till i get new tires
as for the really bent up one.. i dunno.. maybe we can throw it off the top level during a roof-top meet and see if we can hit bruno's old computer.. lol

ha ha. If one rim is still in half decent shape, save it for a spare. I can get you Parada Spec 2s cheap right now Chris. I'm talking like $160 for an 18" tire!!!
