Att: Magnaflow Catback owners...

...I've had the exhaust on my car for about a month now and I love it. Only one problem, it seems a bit quiet.(resonator is still intact) I haven't heard the exauhst on the outside when I hit the gas and go from zero to 100 because I'm driving the car.(DUH! ) Just wondering is it a lot louder outside the car compared to when you're inside? I wonder if the right CAI would make any difference sound wise?

I need to get a friend to drive my car for me while I stand outside and listen.

That's nice of you. You wouldn't try to steal my car would you? Maybe in the spring/summer if I come down to one of your meets we could test each others cars out?

Don't get me wrong, even with my bass heavy cd blasting at half max I hear it, but it's not that loud...or maybe I just got used too it? It seemed loud when I first got it but after a few weeks it didn't.

BTW: The other day I scrapped the center pipe of my Magnaflow custom piping lightly when going over a HIGH speed bump at about 5kph.(my car is not even lowered) I took it back to the shop and they said that the middle pipe is supposed to hang a bit lower than the stock pipes. Is this true? Luckily it didn't even cause any damage. Anybody else come across the same problem?

Yeah I hear my exhaust scraping once in a while.

Especially with the high amounts of snow in Barrie.

I have an Injen SRI and my car sounds great on the inside but I dont think its that loud outside. My muffler kind of makes a vibrating noise too. I need someone to drive it so I can listen as well.

If we are at a meet we can drive eachothers cars. Id love to hear how the exhaust sounds on another Civic just so I can compare.

Well hey, at least it's quite a bit louder than stock and it looks much better too. It still has a nice humming sound that's noticable. If only it was just a little bit louder, then it would be perfect.

Don't get me wrong people, I don't want an exhaust that's going to wake up the whole neighborhood on a Saturday morning. I have a friend that has got quite a number of tickets for his ridiculously loud exhaust, I don't need heat like that. Besides, I've got better things to do with my money than paying off noise pollution tickets.

i have magnaflow exhaust and injen sri. i love the sound of my car.
i dunno if it's because i'm in front seat, seems like my intake is louder than the exhaust.
i love magnaflow exhaust. neither too loud nor too quiet.
do you have intake on ur car?
magnaflow + injen (or any intake) sounds good

I have the magnaflow cat back exhaust as well. I'm waiting until it gets a little warmer. How much was it to install it on your car? I heard 30-50 bucks.

Depends, do you have the whole system(piping, resonator) or just the exhaust? I had the whole system installed and welded for $100. Took them about 25 minutes.

I have the whole cat-back system. It's all bolt on. I was going to do it myself but if it's gonna be 30-50 bucks then why bother. I know you can weld some parts if you want to but I may want to put back the stock system later on.

So has anyone done the bolt on install at a shop? And how much was it?

James
