I agree with Gusto. It might be fixable. If you claim insurance, your premium will go up. Even if it is not your fault. It is up to you.
nah, don't bother claiming it....if the bumpers only dented it could be fixed and repainted.....
it should cost you around $300-$400.....prolly around the same amount as the deductable, but your insurance company won't know....even if your premium doesn't go up this time, the next time something like this happens it might...so save it!...hehehe
BUT, if there IS structural damage to the car, claim the insurance b/c that could cost you a bundle!
well it's hard to take it whne you dont even know who hit you.. i had the same thing right outside my work on the rear bumper too driver side though.. but i got a worst one.. sittin in my car. parked and turned off. and some guy backs into my driver fender while i'm sitting in my car and watching the idiot do it.. i tried to wave him off too. the worst part was his excuse was that he didn't see my car.. however i walked right by the guy before he hit my car.
*update* i went to the dealer (Ideal Honda), their bodyshop quoted me $800 for everything installed, painted and new oem bumper from honda. but the v-bar is extra (if it need to be replaced) they can't tell by looking at the bumper, they have to remove the bumper to see if the v-bar is damage or not. I am hoping no problem with the v-bar, bumper clips, and those white foam inside the bumper.
i will bring my car to another bodyshop (freind;s referral) and see what kind of cash deal i would get.
also my dad called my insurance company and talk to one of the rep and they said it wont increase my premium since it is the first time in many years but if 2 or more hit and run in the very same year then my premium will goes up automatically.
****, so much work to do....called 3 dealer, drove to 1 dealer and had the car being looked at, went to my dad's friend garage to have a look for opinion then drove to another bodyshop that i was being referred to by my dad's friend. what a wonderful day

If that happened to me I wouldn't be able to sleep right for a few days.
Ah, that's the reason why I don't like to park my car in packed parking lots. Most people don't want to park their car far from mall entrances so I try to park further away where there's less cars and just walk a little more. That way it reduces the chance of some idiot hitting your car and leaving.

but if u park really far then your car is really stand out in the empty parking lot and will attract cheap *** theif to break in your car since no one is around the back of the lot so ppl wont notice if someone break into your car.

*update*
i am getting a new bumper installed, painted at my friend's bodyshop. it's a cash deal so i dont have to bother the insurance since my deductible is $500 anyway. but the whole deal is $650 taxes in so i guess it's not that bad compare to $800 or more at the dealer's bodyshop.

ya i told the bodyshop to match up the honda's paint code system and make sure it is the Satin Silver Metalic
i hope everything goes well from now on
