Its snowing like a bizzatch here today.
Why did you post this thread anyway? It says you are from TO or do you have friends or family here?

Rep Power: 0 barrie is like the worlds best town. i used to go to the queens all the time. their were 2 other bars id go to as well, the dance bar thats west of 5 corners, and the ripper bar thats right by it. i lived there for a summer with relatives, i used to love just hangin out around the park on kempenfelt bay. my aunt & uncle used to live in one of the builidings that overlook the bay, you know the 2 apt's that are right beside each other right down by the park. they had a balcony so you could chill up there till you see some hotties and then go down and cruz the beach.

Rep Power: 0 I live in a condo by the bay but its the one right downtown. I just moved there about 3 months ago. I love the view and its so convenient for being able to drink and walk out to the bars...(not that I go to the bars all the time)
Its a great city...no traffic, always have a place to park, real low stress town.
Where abouts in the city do you live right now Bumdup?
Did you say 45 min walk in your previous thread?
What about your car?

I used to go to Georgian and my parents live in the same area you do by the baseball diamonds.
I took the Graphic Design coarse and now I have my own freelance design company and I also work as an art director for a sign company in the south end of town by the Molson Center.
How come you dont get to drive your car in Barrie...(no parking where you are staying) or do you share the car with family members back in your hometown?

Rep Power: 0 Police Foundations eh!
My best friend just got hired on with Metro Toronto Police and is in Elmer right now for a few months.
My Sister's boyfriend already works for South Simcoe. He came by my work yesterday and I got to play with the Sirens.
I sound like such a kid but it was cool to see how Hi Tech those cop cars can be.

sorry for asking so many questions but i heard taht it's hard as hell to get into the force these days. back 20 yrs ago, it was just a simple interview and ur in!! now there's written tests and physical, psychological ....etc i'm just a bit nervous that i won't be able to get in. need to know if there's "a trick" to get accepted.
are any of them in this forum?

Rep Power: 0 My friend is 24. He did have to go through lots of testing and exams. You have to be very motivated!
He never took Police Foundations though. He did go to Georgian for a while and then to York but I think for business stuff and teaching.
All of the sudden he told us he was gonna try and be a cop....and now he is.
He said that Police Foundations would have helped him alot if he would of taken it. It really helps to prepare you.
