how come ppl that drive 5 speed gets all the grls?
damn do any of your ppl notice that the guys that drive 5 speed cars get all the girls. Personally my female friends likes to ride in my car (5 speed) over my some of my other friends (auto). maybe its just me but us ppl with 5 speeds gets all the grls.....
I haven't had any problems with girls wanting to ride in my auto....an auto leaves one hand free...so maybe they want to ride with you so
you won't touch them......HA HA HA HA HA

it doesn't really matter. i drive stick so am i raw and manly now??
i thinks it's very good when a guy CAN drive stick, and it IS hot to watch a guy go a little hardcore on a manual......but just cause his car isn't a stick doesn't mean anything...my guy has an auto SUV, and that lets me hold his hand in the car..

heh.I think you're just paranoid... if a girl judges a guy by what he can drive then.. sheesh. wouldn't want a girl like that anyway.
if you ask me, I still feel lots of manual drivers dont know their manual tranny enough... I mean they can move the car around.. but I dont think they know how the tranny works. they dont read up enough on it.. I still see my friends burning their clutch (I still do it now and then these days.. sigh) and not downshift when they're suppose to...
then again the same can be say about auto drivers... I suppose its because its so simple, they dont bother thinking why the manufacture decides to have other speed option... most people just up to D4 and think they're good to go.
AND finally, your hands aren't tied up all the time when you're driving a manual... I have no problem holding my g/f's hand now and then. or all the time in fact. (except in a turn, gets a bit tricky and dangerous, so no point risking life just to hold hands!)
still. everyone should be driving manual. *snicker*

how now, watch it! not all women suck at driving. i once had a guy make me drive his mega-modded integra because he wanted to see a girl drive his car, let alone see a girl drive stick. when i got out the car he was like "dude.....you drive better than any of my friends....."

yup. with enough practice. I'll trust my car with my girl.
if she trust her car to me. I think I should be able to do the same. not all girls are bad drivers. in fact, I think too many are better than me. lol. my mom.. my sister.. my g/f... they all drove longer.. and at the end, experience and practice beats any stereotype.

I drive stick, my sister drives stick. We learned to drive a stick first. I drove an auto once or twice and I didn't like it. Driving a stick takes some skill, so both me and my sister are impressed with someone who drives a stick. I will not go out with anyone who drives an auto (for example). So, I say both sexes dig the stick! Sounds weird.
Grey...I would have to say that that is some weird sh it !!
Judging people by what transmission there car is, is WACK !!
I wanna smoke what you people are smoking....because it must be
some crazy good sh it. Anyways...believe what you want to believe....
whether you drive a stick or an auto, it has no reflection on the type of
person you are......and if watching a guy shift get's you off......
you need to come down to Texas and let antidote show you another way....
You'll be like....God Damn, let me ride that auto honey !!

<< Judging people by what transmission there car is, is WACK !! >>
Yeah, I know. Keep in mind that I'm on pain killers, so I'm mostly talking out of my ***. Mostly. If the automatic transmition actually performed better than the manual transmition, then I'de get it. If only our automatic transmition had five gears, then the performance would be comparible to the manual transmition. Plus you could program the ECU to do some freaky stuff like grade logic, or something to keep the rpm's low for reduced fuel consumption, or even have less wheel spin with a sort of wheel slippage sensor. It would still be heavier than a manual transmition though. Although no need to replace the clutch!
You have to admit that there is some sort of a status increase for people who drive standards. I don't know where it comes from, but it's there. Especially in the performance car world.
Autos are cool and all, but let me ask you guys something. For instance, you see a nice car (in person, tv, or mag) and you check it out. It might have all kinds of crazy mods to it and you think to yourself, that is cool. Then you look inside and notice that it is auto. Do you get a slight sinking feeling? Like the car disappointed your expectations? I know I do most of the time...

One of my girl friends drives stick (a manual Saab turbo) and that doesn't stop here from enjoying rides in my CVT Civic. It's either got to be the smooth ride or my undeniable charm!

i have driven autos and i find the ride is not fun. i must confess, when i am in traffic i will give my right nut for an auto. it is a pain in the a$$. my girl friend likes it and she loves the way turbo lag feels!!

noise?
