Ready for autocross...

I think... I recently purchased a setup that should make my car a good contender in autocross (Along with the turbo). I purchased a progress front sway bar, progress rear sway bar, progress rear sway bar adapter, neuspeed X cross brace, lower rear tie bar and a rear upper tie bar. I am also planning to purchase Teins or Progress coils, but leaning more towards the Teins. I ordered all this from Tornactive and it was all shipped today . Any other suggestions on how to make the car stiffer/better handling?

Wow... you got everything pretty much covered. The only major thing you're missing to complete the set is a roll cage. This would further reduce major chassis flex throughout the entire body of the car.
Other little things that can be done is getting a new set of Tires and possibly lighter, wider wheels.

Also believe it or not but aftermarket seats (Recaro, Momo, etc...) make a huge difference when it comes to handling (not for the car but for yourself). The stock seats can only support you so much under hard turning and it makes a world of a difference when you don't have to fight the car when taking a hard turn rather then sitting there firmly in the seat.

I was told by a buddy of mine (Mechanic) that they rust, apparently the new one's are re-engineered to not rust... . From attending Cayuga and St. Thomas I learned that 1/4 mile racing is crap. It's all about who has the bigger wallet... Autocross is different. You can have the mugen NSX and loose againt an lightly modded civic in corners, it's all driver... That's what I love about it! It's all for the love of the game.

P.S: don't get me wrong I will still be 1/4 mile racing cause I want to show you ALL that low 13s is possible in a 7th gen... Never underestimate a boys imagination...

GOOD GOD!!

When I was 17, I was folded into my winter jacket and waiting for buses.. actually, come to think about it, I did that until I was 20 (yeah yeah, loser, screw you!).. when I was 20, I picked up myself a 91 Corolla with 100,000 on the odo for $4000. Not your autocrosser, but the definition of getting you from point A to B.

I picked up my 2001 Civic when I was 23.. but Redvic has the same car, but with WAY more mods than me!! And he's only 17.. damn it, I must be in the wrong business!!

What are you doing for a living? I'll sell whatever you are selling!! Come on, let me in on it!!
