don't 7th gens have engine immobilizers? that doesn't make them theft proof but won't the car theives rather steal something easier?

nowadays, i always use my steering wheel club as a precaution...

btw, is crime that high in SC? here is mississauga, it's pretty quiet

theatres, bowling alleys, and just about any place where you'd be parking for extended period of time without much security\supervision, or at least traffic.

if you need to park, park it in well lit areas and preferrably where there are a lot of people walking by [front of the parking lot]

Well if it gets stolen and stays stolen, that's a blessing..

But not when it's recovered the day after, with interior wrecked and stuff... not fun at all! they'll just repair it for you, and it'll never feel the same.. it's like dating a used *****.. everyone's had a poke at it

I believe the only way they can steel our car is if they put it on a flatbed. So just make sure when you stop the car that the wheels are turned, and you should be pretty safe. With the chip in the key, it's extremely hard to steal, if not practically impossible

yep.. like he said

course they can still smash your windows and take out your brand new HU in about 30 seconds
or take off your rims.. etc

its just a hazard of having a good looking car

It's just really in scarborough, i haven't heard anything bad up in richmond hill.. I just don't want to go through the hastle of getting insurance AND ofcourse no one is gonna get full value, so if someone steals the car, you're down $5000.

I've had 2 , 2002's stolen in the last 2 months ..........so it is possible - mind you the one that was found had the steering column destroyed ...but it is quite possible
