haven't u played gt3???...... the SPOON civic is soo much better than the TRD celica....... meaning.... the civic has more potential.....
also look at the price of a celica gts.... its dam near 40g's.... i would never spend 40k on that.... looks nice but....... there's better choices.

haahah, not to flame u...........but game have nothing to do with racing.......well, except u can get the specs, i used my little turbo charged toyota 86 with 210 hps and beat alot of races which have 400hps car in it

yeah you're right....I would never spend 32 grand plus all the taxes and extras which comes close to 40 on a celica gts. That's why I purchased the GT model. I figure that I would rather get a celica over a civic for additional $3-4 grand more. Personally , I would rather get the Acura CL Type S (a yr old used) instead. But think about it this way...if you wanted an imported sporty car our choices are limited to RSX-S , Tiburon GSR, Celica GtS, Eclipse GT and the WRX (which in my opinion UGLY but fast) which all starts at $29000 - $38000 plus taxes and options.

Would you really pay $36000 +(after taxes) for the new Hyundai? or would you rather get the RSXS or Celica GTS for additional 1000-3000 extra?? Not that I'm dissing Hyundai here but my point is that cars are getting really expensive these days after taxes etc and the RSX and the Celica is one of the better choices for the money if you're looking into these type of cars.

Oh by the way...I bet ya my TRD Celi will beat your Spoon Civic on GT3

That's the most ridicious thing I've ever heard!! Are you basing this on Gran Turismo 3 too?? [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] GT3 is a good game, but it's certainly not the automotive bible.

You should try driving the car first, before dissing it... and in my humble opinion, I would go as far as to say that Toyota Celica GT is one of the best front wheel drive cars. There are only a handful of limited edition cars that are better (ie - Mazdaspeed Protege, Golf R32, Type-R cars, etc).

As far the Celicas not taking mods well--you have to realize it is all based on the market potential. There are more parts for the Civics because there are more Civics on the road. The potential customer base is a lot greater. Nonetheless, there are still lots of mods for Celicas available right now. One of them is Hotchkins coilovers for Celicas, that allow the car to perform over 1.00g on the skidpad (Ferrari F360 & Corvette Z06 territory) and over 74mph on the slalom tests (way beyond Ferrari F360 & Corvette Z06 territory). In fact, they were able to beat an M3's track time just with this kit.

Soon TRD will releaes forced induction kits as well. Combine those two upgrades together, and you have a serious ***-hauling machine that can dominate autocross racing.

Unfortunately GT3 doesn't tell you these things...

The race is soon approching... Maybe we can make this like a little trck day meet... Anywoo I might be leaving Tdot at around 9-10am, I might be going with my buddies from next level (we might go up in a flock). I don't no if i'll make it by the time they leave... I havet o do alot of stuff to the car before I go. I must put my rims back on, change my oil, refill my NOS bottle...OOps!! (Just joking).
