Engine Run in (or Break in) period
The manual says that for the civic the the run in period is 1000 km, but I've heard from others that run in periods should be for at least 3000 km. How long did you guys run in your cars for?
my dealer said i can supposedly run it when i first picked it up.... he said honda runs the engine for about 1000km b4 putting it into the car......... im not sure if that was true, but thats what he told me.
it's around 1000 km...
it's usually over stated to be safe.. but 1000km is alot considering that
mechanical engineer would do their experiment and state the outcome 2-3 times because they would expect peopel to go over. =)
i know because i took comp engieneering.
that's y we have pentium 4 1.6 gigs...
it is actualyl a 3.2 but it is cannot be over clocked becuase of the cooling processs. it is possible to make a nitrogen / bwater cooling aperatus without blowing your cpu =)
