OT: my car is back

22 days without my civic and driving a crappy ford escape the whole time......somehow i managed to break the emergency brake!!?? i must have been messing around with it cuz it was a rental
im sort of bitter though because i needed to get 2 new rims and when they came in it was 2 different rims....one was of the rim i have on my car the other was some ugly thing so now my rim is on backorder....
its missing a bug chunk out of it but im being told i can still drive on it....it doenst come in until wednesday...
i hada bunch of dings in my door from parking in mall parking lots and they fixed all those and scratches...my car looks good along the one side now....i just got to get my other dents on the other side fixed and a few scrapes in the front bumper......

i hope to be there on sunday.....hopefully my car will make it the way the rim is??

At least you got to drive an Escape...

When my car was in the shop, I got a... Civic. Eesh. How borring is that? It was a 2001 sedan actually.. The beige interior with manual windows & locks didn't exactly help the driving experience either. I wanted something like a 3.4L Grand Am to fool around with.

Cars never feel the same after accidents. Even a small fender bender can change things. Rattles are more apparent, exterior panels are not flush and paint colours do not match. But the differences are generally VERY subtle. You search for flaws when you get your car back, that's why you are noticing everything right away. In a couple of months, you won't even remember the accident.

But hey, I'm very delighted to hear that you got your car back and it looks better than before. This might be a good time to purchase a front bra. You'll notice that the re-painted parts of your car are more prone to stone chips--within a few months, the front end will look like a horny teenager's face with a bad case of acne. Put the bra on when you go on the highway (on the car, that is) and it'll save you from having to repair stone chips in the future. You don't have to put it on for the city driving, if you find it ugly. But since you have a dark blue car, it shouldn't be that bad at all.

Again, congrads!

YA, my car is blue and would look good witha dark bra but everything is going white not...like i got white stickers and white wheels and may look funny with a black bra...but i could do it just to go on the highway....
i need to go back to the body shop....there is overspray over the corner of my windshield and on thehood of my car. i also need to get the door put on properly......but my alignment was done better this time compared to before. when i lowered it and got it aligned it was still off and i kept on getting it fixed...........now its good!!
