does the coupe now come with those nicer SiR rims?

what are the differences between the 02 and 03 civic LX and Si models?

I just got my 02 LX coupe last month and would like to know what features i'm missing..hehe

has anyone seen the msrp price of the 02 civics?

thnx...

anyone know why the us versions keep getting that 117hp engine while we get a 115hp engine?
aren't they nearly the same?

what's the dif? is there really any advantages at all for having 2 extra horses and a tiny bit more torque?

the US versions also has the 115hp engine on the DX model...

but as for taffeta white, i guess i'll kinda miss it...almost bought a white coupe....I had to have eternal blue though...hehe...
I have a crush on the 02 BLUE accord coupe but the civic was the closest car that parents would buy and looks like the accord..hehe...

the white car is ugly unless it's the Si version w/ the painted mirrors and handles....black mirrors is why i didn't get a white coupe...

btw, anyone know how much it would cost if i wanted to get my mirrors painted blue? honda gave us LX owners the painted door handles but skimped out on the mirrors....

Also, is the 2001 LX coupe supposed to have unpainted door handles and 14" ugly rims? a friend has one and it's fugly..

I guess for those with white coupes are going to be unique!

I got my mirrors & handles painted.... had it done when my car got crunched. But on its own, it should be around $250ish..

I wish they had white Si like they had white EX-2dr in the states... Sucks.

I had to settle with the other extreme - black.

most people with lx's end up getting the mirrors painted anyways so i dont think its a big deal, but im not that surprised that they got rid of the white lx, white doesnt seem to be that popular a color these days. if i were to get a car and leave it stock though i wouldnt get the lx coupe, but then again, id never be happy with leaving a car stock.....

technically their car cause they bought it....i'm basically the only one who drives it though..hehe
they think mods are pointless and just a waste of money...they also don't want me driving too fast...

btw, i floored the automatic civic for a couple secs today....the rpm jumped suddenly to 5000+rpm...is that normal? will it cause damage when suddenly going to 5000rpm? car sure moved fast hehe....it was fun and sounds cool...i just don't want to mess it up....is that sudden increase in rpm due to "passing gears"? do civics have passing gears?

Parents are like that. I bought and paid for my car and still the nag me for doing stuff to it. Waste of money, they think. Putting money in a piece of item that depreciates in a couple of years.

Bah, if I wanted to be smart about my money I would've chosen a wealthy family to be born in! Or chose to take BComm instead of CS.

i wouldnt go as far to say that modding cars are a waste of money, technically everything is....its a matter of personal preference....a lot of people (including myself) take great pride in making their ride unique and enhance the car's apprearance and performance.

as far as flooring your car, yeah, thats the passing gear kicking in, perfectly normal, but i dont remember how long you've had your car....if its new you should keep it under 4000rpms for the first i think 2000km (i really dont remember how long its suppose to be though...)

yeah parent's car even though i'm the only one that drives it...they don't want me touching anything cause basically it costs too much to mod, may cause other expensive problems as a consequence from touching whatever that's not broken, and also they don't want me driving fast or recklessly...

and they also think that nice mods will just increase the chance that someone will steal the car...

yeah, my civic is still a baby...only 1 month old and around 700km on it as of yesterday....
i floored it cause i was so frustrated and disappointed...i eased off the gas after i saw it nearly redline...

anyways, i only want to do minor cosmetic mods...

oem skirts, paint mirrors, oem Si or SiR alloys(maybe 17" 7 spokes..hehe), oem fog lights...no spoiler or cheesy aluminum wings...

no lowering, no engine mods...civics aren't really that fast and it wont be much faster when modded so i would like to keep it the way it is...

i want to keep my car clean and simple....the cute happy honda look...hehe...

hehe...addicted...that's what i was kinda feeling yesterday..threw my sub in the trunk and drove around bumpin it...

in the end i just got annoyed at it though...when i built the box, i didn't think that tuning the port to 35hz would make the sound so annoying...i wanted extra low bass and that's what i got...the sound waves bouncing off the walls make the really low rumbling much more noticeable and the nice thumps are too quiet...extra low bass is giving me headaches..hehe
