Rep Power: 0 Got beaten badly by a BMW M5... haha
As luck would have it, this humble Acura 1.7 EL owner was driving
home late at night on the weekend when a shiny BMW M5 lines up next
to it at a redlight (Steeles Ave.). The Bimmer started repeatedly
revving its eight cylinder power horse of an engine (which makes
close to 400 horses by the way!). Obviously this jerk was
instigating a race or something? Technically it can't be considered
a "race" when he's got double the cylinders, over three times the
displacement, and almost three times the horsepower!
I am generally not a "racer" nor does my car look riced up and asking
for trouble. So I decide I'm not even going to try anything when the
light turns green.
Light turns green. The M5 peels away, screeching rubber as he drops
the clutch. I watch him leisurely as he speeds of, chirping his huge
tires at each shift. The rear end of the M5 seems to waggle a bit...
maybe the clown turned off traction control in hopes to get a bit
more speed over me?
Who knows what was going through his head...
