OT: wierd shift!

YOboyz and Girls (who drive a stick)

Any of you having trouble with FIRST GEAR and REVERSE?

I FULLY clutched down and it WON"T go into FIRST GEAR???? is this a common problem... after a good 20 second of trying. it got in..


REVERSE.... clutch down and shift.. i'm holdling the clutch at the friction point, and pressing gas..
than all of a sudden a loud SMACKING sound like your gear just hit somtehing.


someone tell me wuts wrong pls? Lol

sure, you burned yours already and need a new one...haha...j/k...

sometimes it doesn't go into 1st gear if the car's cold..but seeing as how this is summer I have no idea...

rarely does it happen to me...
but sometimes i have to try putting it into first with 3 -5 attempts...

it's weird...

I've had the same problem with mine... but I could get it in usually on the second try... I test drove the SiR and the RSX, and their shift feels a lot cleaner, not sure if it's just psychological or what... [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG]

yap...... thats normal.. i think..... seems that everybody has the problem... for reverse...... usually if it doesnt go in in the first attempt..... i put the gear on 3rd then it should fit into reverse perfectly..... (BE SURE TO DO IT WHEN UR FULLY STOPPED)

yups... definitely Reverse for me... sometimes it just doesn't seems to fit into gear...

it might be the norm, but it's far from normal..
i've not had a problem w/ mine, and that's w/ the solo adaptor installed..
you guys might wanna get together and contact Honda and see "when" the recall is coming out..
and if not when then "why" it's not considered a problem when so many are experiencing it..
