ded vary from person to person - you can choose your ded based on how much your willing to spend ..the higher the ded, the lower the premium ...Most Comprehensive ded are between $100-$500.....most I've seen are $300 though - For his sake, I hope he has $100 ded.....

I thought deductibles were different, depending on how much you paid per month/year?

Anyways it still sucks though, everything was going so nicely and then this happens... my car was almost set for this year... I'm still pissed off!

yeah I know... I must have been in msg mode when you replied...
I forgot what my ded. was, I guess I'll find out soon...

I heard the insurance co. doesn't really care about the amount when you make a claim is that true?

i'm not sure what you mean by "amount" - i mean if your gonna claim $5000 for rims, they'll scratch there head but if your reasonable and you can prove your loss, they'll pay it ......

I thinking more in the line of between a $500 claim and a $1500/$2000 claim.

Yup, it falls under home insurance if it's the driveway, but usually you have a $500 deductable. And you'll probably have to file a case with the cops to get insurance claim.

I've filed a claim with the police already, and I called my auto insurance company and it's covered there. I don't think I can claim it through home insurance.

there's no way you get get it to be covered under homeowners insurance.... WTF???? Homeowners insurance is for your home, and contents ...anything permantly attached to your vehicle is covered under your auto insurance........it doesn't really matter where your vehicle is .........

My stolen car last year was covered by home insurance. I guess if your car's still intact it's auto insurance.
