$480? That's not bad at all... I'm definitely getting an alarm soon, gotta get new rims... I'm going to start parking in my garage at night too.

dang that sucks

1) how many wheel locks did you have on each tire?
2) alarm?

you should get compustar, it has anti-jacking..... right now if you slap my rims with your palm, it'll go off, at least you can put the pager beside you when you sleep.... $480 max for install and compustar pager alarm, at Promax in scarborough
wheel locks do not matter he was sleeping plenty of time to tkae them off one at a time

2k1sicdn neways sorrie to hear that dude

I'll keep an eye out for you. If your rims turn up on the "market" I'll get to the bottom of it.

Thanks, they're Tenzo R AV7's in gunmetal, with Falken 205/40/17 tires, the tread's pretty worn too. Nothing else really different about them... my valve caps were stolen too, so they're missing those as well.

Thanks for all your help and support guys

These ppl will jack anything! Last year someone stole my 12yr old 4dr Civic, from my driveway! That thing was still riding like a charm, not much rust too. Ah well, prompted me to get new car.

So how did they get your wheels off if you had wheel locks? Did you leave your wheel key in the car?

I have a funny feeling about these car forum sites. What if the thieves surf the internet car club forums to find out which cars to jack from? In all honesty, I wouldn't post too much in your profile. 2K1SICDN - I see that you have your lisence plates exposed in your profile. I would suggest photoshopping it out from now on. As for advice, all I can do is agree with everyone else: Garage your car and get a worthy alarm system before u get another set of rims. Good luck man.

Sorry to hear that dude, I know it must suck big time. Just the other day I was talking about people boosting car parts from tricked out rides. I said it's not safe to park your ride outside when you go to bed at night, especially if you have parts that are in demand. Well this proves my point.

Wheel locks, give me a break! Wheel locks do nothing except slow down the process of rim jacking. Even alarm systems are useless because a pro can bypass the alarm in a matter of seconds. Trust me, if somebbody wants your rims there's always a way to take them off. Being in a secluded area with little traffic doesn't help either.

hey man i feel bad for ya...........but put it this way.....it could have been worse!!!.....................they could have gotten away with steeling ur whole damn car!!!..........the only thing u would probably find is the frame of the car if they stole it.......pros think fast and strip the cars........so ur lucky that u still got ur car.......

They must have had their own key because the key I use I keep in the car, and they didn't break into it.
