it wasn't the endlinks....

has anyone replaced or upgraded their FRONT endlinks???

my car still has this rattling noise coming from my front right wheel area.... and i still cant figure it out what it was and it's not a suspension problem with the struts.

a mechanic suggests that it may be the endlinks........ that it's weak and it's causing all the rattling whenever i go over bumps..... or ANY uneven payment.

i looked at the front right endlink... it doesnt look broken, but it does looked really thin compared to the sway bar that it's attached to..... and there is a rubber cover that's covering the endlink so possibly it's somehow broken within the thin frame of the endlink

furthermore.. this noise problem, i believe has caused my steering to be unaligned..... so now im going to have to get an alignment.... so now im also wondering if an endlink problem, that may have been broken for a while......would eventually cause my steering to be unaligned.....?
...also, how long can your car run even IF an endlink is broken?

Some models of the Civic don't even have front sway bars if I recall. You won't have any ill effects from driving without one but you won't be benefiting from the stability one tends to provide. Shouldn't mess with your alignment, but I'm guessing whatever may have killed your endlink has also messed with your alignment, ie big pothole, curb jump, whatever....

If its not the end link it could be the sway bar bushings as well, I know its a common issue on allot of cars on the road but it might be the end link if you hit something on the road really hard.

^^ you'd know from looking, the ball joint would be out or the plastic cover on the ball joint would be visibly broken.

it wasnt the endlinks after all... i believe the mechanic said it was the shock pusher........ the bolt at the top of the suspension area was loose.... they added some type of liquid and tighten the bolt and the problem was gone.....

couldnt believe i drove around almost a year with that bolt loose....
