does this cat look like it's overweight? my friends all think it does but my cousin doesn't think it is. the reason why i ask is because my cousin is looking to adopt a cat but she doesn't want an overweight cat that might have health problems.

I didn't think my cat was fat, either, but the hot vet said he was. apparently, while he looked healthy to me, he was about a pound too heavy. that's being fixed with the "weight control" food, and he seems to be getting a little smaller. if you have questions about it, i'd take it to the vet. i don't really see a car forum being the place to get advice about cats.

the thing is i can't take it to the vet because we haven't even got the cat yet. we're just looking at pictures right now.

Oh? well, if it's at a shelter, i'm sure it's been checked by a vet. the people at the shelter should be able to tell you what the vet says, if it maybe needs to go on weight control food when you take it home or whatever. i guess my answer would be that it doesn't look fat enough to have any weight related health problems. it's feet look kinda weird, tho.
