Looking for Rear Disc Brakes
Yesterday I had a service done on my car by honda and they told me my brake drums will need to be replaced in about 8000km. They want $200 a drum but if I could get rear disc brakes, Id rather have those. Does anybody have any siR or EL rear brakes for sale? or know any junkyards where I can get them? I have an 01 LX.
Thanks
Jamie

This won't help you directly.... But...
- Very few options for aftermarket EL rotors. i.e. OEM rotors or KVM only... I don't think anyone in the EL community have found a suitable replacement for rotors other than KVM.... Maybe 1 or 2 others. (No Brembos.)
- SiR (hatch) may fit...
Good luck.

ok from wut i read in the brake swap section el rear brakes are exactly the same as siR rear brakes. I think accords have the same bolt pattern as our cars but maybe not will rear accord brakes fit? Also could I use rsx rear brakes If i could find rotors that would fit? What about getting accord rear brakes and getting aftermarket rotors and drilling them to 4x100 kind of like rims?
accords have different suspension set up so the hub, knuckles and control arms will be different... you will need to find an SiR or EL in order to have a very easy swap. Everything else we require a lot more fabrication to fit right... accords are 4x114.3
you can use RSX brake set up but like I said, its a 5x114.3bolt...

Yes, it's an Acura EL

All that said, I may have a rear brake conversion in the works to match my parts-bin BBK up front, and my rear setup may thus be for sale. I'll let you know if I go through with it.
