2004/05 taillight conversion

Who in canada has done this...

I tried to go get the Adaptaplug as seen in the diy: http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=158488

but I cant get it in Canada. So if you did this what did you use to get the top bulb in the 2004 tails?

Why not go to a junker and clip them off a wrecked 04/05 coupe, then splice and solder in?

Wow, sucks that it isnt a straight plug in for the coupe... I just did a 03+ JDM Tail conversion on my sedan and it was pure plug and play.

Actually I had the wire adapters WITH the lights. All that needed to be done was some quick soldering and voila. One of the wires you don't use (off the '01 tails) Viper did the conversion for me. If you have a set he can walk you through it. It took a whole 30 minutes to install them.

Karim, no forcing required. I know Norek actually did his '05 tail himself. He rewired his '01's. basically a "ghetto" version of the '05 tails.

Ah no wait.. it was forced in / ghetto with the brake/turn being in different locations right???

Bah, in any event, I don't have to worry about it because I'm not a coupe

Well nothing was forced in b/c the wiring I have is FOR '05 tail lights. so they were plug and play (after they were soldered into place)

Think we are talking about two different things now... or maybe wasn't even you but Andrew instead. Or maybe it was with his old tails.. didn't at one point one of you guys switch where the lights light up (brake area became turn signal, turn signal became brake area) ?? And it was done by "forcing" the bulbs in..

But like I mentioned - not concerning this, doesn't exactly concern me .. so good luck with the new mods

The lights are in....ordered 33304-S30-003 sockets from Honda and 7443 bulbs (even though its says 7440 bulbs) and haved the socket and 02 plug to fit. Everything is tight and snug and it looks good.
