This is probably one of the best mods if you live in Canada. I can see it being useless if you live in an area that doesn't get below subzero temperatures.

Hot water and cold glass, not a good combination in my opinion.
Just use rain-x de-fogger stuff. I don't know exactly whats it called, but I remember on my old car it would help out.
This is a dumb mod in my opinion as well. If its subzero temperatures outside, it doesn't take long for water to freeze. Test it out yourself. Get some boiling water, and dump it outside and see how long it takes to freeze.

your right, hot water does freeze quicker in sub zero temps, but water is not involved in any point of this. The fluid doesn't start to freeze until -40 or whatever it is these days, so i say that it would be a good idea to get, but at the same time I can't predict how efficient it would be. But it is coming standard on a lot of high end cars now so it must be tried, tested and true.

Also the fluid is not boiling hot when it comes out... i can't see it being a real issue with glass... I mean what's the difference between warm fluid or hot air?

Think about how awsome that would be during freezing rain... you know when you get that ice build up on the top portions of your windshield. This would solve that problem. I might have to go check these things out.

This is like a 2 in 1 invention
It does work, I dont see why anyone doesnt listen to me on the 2 threads about this. Its warm which will help break down ice buildup on your wiperblades and on the windshield itself.

You know what. I take my comments back from my post above.
I was super tired when I typed all of that. I just realized I mentioned water, when windshield washer fluid is not water. For some reason I was thinking water comes out of the nozzle...lol.. yeah I'm stupid..I know.
Actually now I think its a pretty good mod. Has anybody actually tried this??

I actually haven't bought one yet... I went and saw them and was about to buy one but I didn't know if my g/f got me one for christmas. I was told not to buy anything for myself until after christmas day so I guess no reviews till then.
The unit itself is about the size of my hand... just thicker. If I don't get one as a gift I'll buy one and write a review.

the E30 is cool, it uses the rad fluid to warm the fluid while its still in the res. I think we can DIY a nice heater with the same concept, just tap into a rad line and put some metal tubing down into the washer res. Save the money, and not use extra electricity to power a heater.
