ATTENTION Center Console Kiddies
I've been getting a few complaints that the LED's I installed in some peoples' center consoles are dead. After the first complaint I thought 'OK, looks like I was out to lunch when soldering' but after the second call I checked some of my stock and some of the LED's are indeed deadified! So here it is, anyone whose LED consoles I've done since summer, PLEASE check your LED's carefully for flickering, or of course if they're dead you'd know. Please let me know, I do NOT want to have my work driving around half-dead. That's not how I roll.
My supplier is sending me a new batch as fast as the USPS can carry it across the border, and they've been instructed to ignore crosswalks, stop signs, roadblocks, adorable duckies crossing the road, and old people.
I've already got word back from squeeze, AggressiveAdam, and jer2k. Sare, DragonAce, anyone else I forgot, I need you to check yours ASAP. Liro - you too, since you bought LED's from me (even though Freddy installed them). I think that's everyone on 2k1civ....I hope the Speedbumpers are doing OK, otherwise I'll be a busy little monkey.
I will of course be replacing these at no charge, as early as possible. I apologize profusely to everyone for the inconvenience. I've been assured this next batch is up to my supplier's reputed quality, so this should be the only replacement necessary.
It would be nice if someone were to sticky this for me.

Rep Power: 369 I will be doing another round of consoles in the very near future. I just want to resolve all the problems with this batch first. I expect to be doing new consoles again by mid-february.

Rep Power: 369 Coolio. Yours might have been from the batch before this problem order. Man I feel freakin horrible, I literally couldn't sleep last night over this. Even weed and booze didn't help.

Rep Power: 0 Hey Telly - some of my gauge cluster LEDs flickered for a week or so then died... wonder if we got the same baddies from LSD??? I gotta hack open my cluster to diagnose the problem, but now that I've read your thread I'm thinking my LEDs are toasted. (and I too thought I f!cked up my soldering)!!!!
