hehe
yeah like I would know off the top of my head.
hehe.
When I was shopping for mine at Canadian Tire they had a chart that shows what kind of things you can power with the inverter. I just used that to figure out what I would need for my Xbox. Here is a link to the one I bought link

you shouldn't need 400 or even close to that for a laptop. check the sticker that's on the AC Adapter, and it should tell you what the power consumption is...
I use a 600W for my carputer and it's way too much... no one would happen to know where I can get an Opus PS for cheap eh?

Dude, from my limited research on the topic, apparently you're better off going with an inverter to a conventional PS, because due to the Opus's lack of availability, if your PS dies, you're stuck for weeks with no carputer while you wait for the backorder. Someone also complained once of the problems one might have with a DC-DC PS while cranking. But that's just what I've read. I'm still learning.
look on the power cord for your laptop and it should say how many watts it needs to be powered, my laptop is a power hog using 150 watts so I got a 225 watt inverter just to be safe. Most laptops probably don't use more than 75 watts.
