sometimes.. if i have my music playing.. i dont hear the sirens from cop cars, fire trucks, or ambulances.... and one time i almost hit a fire truck b/c i couldnt hear it....
now, b/c the trucks are so loud... it's possible the truck driver was drowned out by the truck noises that he/she couldnt hear the siren....
or maybe the siren wasnt on properly.. which has happened before.
but my prayers are with him.
be careful out there.

Wow Narc, I hardly ever see you this moved. And that in turn moves me. Too often the only comments you see on car enthusiast boards are stuff like F*** the police, etc etc. We all must realize that police officers are real people, with real lives. When they get out of their flashing cars and write you a ticket, they're just doing their jobs, just like you were earlier that day, more than likely. When they pull into their driveways at night, just like you, their wives and families say hello to them too. So let us all remember they're human too, and when they lose their lives serving us, there is a hole created in society. Cops aren't supposed to die keeping the peace, just like you're not supposed to die flipping burgers or fixing cars or installing software. But they truly are placing themselves in those situations daily for all of us, and we should be thankful that they are doing it so we don't all have to.
I'm not a praying man, but my thoughts and best wishes go out to Officer Oberhauser and his family.

Hey Narc by the sounds of that reply it sounds like hes is on his way to back to recovery, Let us Hope so, after seeing the cruiser being lucky of not being stuck on the driver's side lets hope that is all for the good and he recover's well like he seems to be doing now.
