It is not a 4-dr SiR. This is the 5-dr hatchback that is sold in Japan. The chassis code is EU. http://www.honda.co.jp/auto-lineup/civic/

We have hatch backs in Canada, not the 5 door one though. Did you notice on the japan site they have a form of shiftronic on the steering wheel like race cars that's pretty cool

The D16V1 Engine: somewhat like ours

- This is a SOHC VTEC.
- Shares some parts with D17A1 and D17A2.
- Plastic intake manifold.
- Downdraft throttle body.
- Exhaust manifold to front intake manifold at back, like previous D16.

No ^. Actually there are different sizes of engines you can have in the 5dr hatch depending on where you are from. Honda UK sells them in 1.4, 1.6 VTEC, 1.7 CTDi, and 2.0 i-VTEC, also they have the Type-R. Im not much into hatches so I don't really care...thats why I bought my coupe. Man if only Honda had made 01-03 SI coupes.
